Hi from Jodi

I went on a little trip to the Sahara Mountains. Honest…I did!!

It was really fun but I had an accident on the way to the top.

I had been there for many days and became dehydrated as I forgot to bring more than one drink bottle and lost my water purifier.

Also I got attacked by a mountain lion which is rather unusual these days!

The mountain lion ran off when a huge storm hit. It doesn’t usually rain too much in the desert! Or is that “dessert” ?

I was rescued and now I’m safely back in Maungatapere! Thank goodness for that!

Bye for now

Hi from Lucy's place!

Hi it’s Jodie again!

Last night I stayed at Lucy’s. I am also staying for the holidays because she forgot to take me back to school. Oh well she is very nice so I don’t mind!

We had a blast with the lambs.

Nibbles (the lamb with the blackest face) Polka (the white lamb with a polka dot on her side) Jumbo (the smallest one) made friends with me straight away. I really enjoyed climbing the tree but I needed some help to get down!

I’m really looking forward to the holidays with Lucy and her family.

Speak to you soon

J

On Friday I came home with Samantha.  She had lots planned for us to do.  First I meet The Pig, next it was The Kiwi...What a cool place so many animal friends for me to meet.  Next I had a ride round the lounge on Lena a little soft toy dog....YEHAH that was fun!!

Saturday was a busy day, we had to get ready for a party at Samantha's cousins house, he turned 10.  I had a jump on the tramp with Samantha and her cousin Jessie, we also went for a BIG walk down their really long drive...phew was I tired!  There was lollies and cake and fizzy and more food than I have ever seen.  We played hide and go seek, had a spa (well, I watched) but It sure looked like fun!

Sunday was a quiet day but we still had fun!  I helped Samantha do a mosaic! She is very clever, she did a butterfly, flowers and lots of different designs on a nice piece of wood!  I helped hold the glue bottle, man was it heavy!! Samantha, Mikaela (her littlest sister) climbed trees, we made a playground under the feijoa trees, we even had a firemans pole.  Wheeeeeeeeeeee I went really fast, flying down it was so much fun.

Time for me to go to bed
Bye

Jodi & Deana in Warkworth

Hi everyone,

I’ve just had a wonderful weekend with Deana in Warkworth staying with her Grandparents. They were very kind to me and the weather was lovely and sunny as you can see. If you’re wondering, Deana is the one without the spots!

Take care

Jodi

From Room 2 Waipu primary

Jodi visited the famous Waipu Museum with Room 2. She had the privilege of being  part of the migration of Scottish immigrants to Waipu. She boarded the 'Margaret' with Rev Norman McLeod and slept on the rough sacking on a very small and uncomfortable bunk. She helped pull up the ropes and she even climbed the masts to look down on the sailing ship. When she reached land she was mascot and umpire to a  prestigious tennis match held on the new grass courts at Waipu. What an honour to be part of this  historical migration and settlement of Waipu.

Thanks Yaron, hope 4 photos are attached.

Commerical Ginger Beer Taste Testing

Jodi tried some ginger beer and she loved it. She tried bunderberg, Schweppes, macs and signature range.

Jodi’s thoughts “it was delicious” as she burst out with big bubble burbs.

Otamatea Swimming Sports

Hi Jodi here I had such a hard time putting on my swimming cap in the car but thanks to Turanga I got there in the end.

I had heaps of butterflies and here I am at Otamatea cheering Ruakaka School on.

I’m ready to go swimming and win all those races.

P.S those Ruakaka swimmers are really fast. See you next time.
